Business of Art Conference -Sat. May 12

NYFA presents the
Business of Art Conference: Spring 2007 - Expand Your Visibility
New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA)
(New York NY)

Saturday May 12, 9-5pm

Getting your work out of the studio and into the world can be one of the biggest challenges for a visual artist. Galleries have played a central role, but the landscape of the art world has transformed in the last ten years with the rise of the Internet and globalization. How do you figure out where you individually fit in this changing landscape? What steps can you take to find a place for yourself? What can you do to expand your visibility?

Business of Art: Spring 2007 will provide artists with two morning sessions focused on practical information about marketing and placing yourself within the ever-evolving art world. The afternoon panel discussion will center on artists’ relationship to art fairs, corporate collections and art festivals.

Barney Building
