Carlos Jimenez is a Yonkers, New York native and a Latin Jazz flautist, composer, and arranger. Jimenez started on trumpet at age 4, then he switch to flute at age 10. After arriving to NY from Puerto Rico in 1995, Jimenez studied flute with a number of people, including Mitch Frohman, Mario Rivera, Bobby Porcelli, Dave Valentin, Vinny Rikitelli, and Dave Fenucane at the Westchester Conservatory of Music. Jimenez has also studied piano with the likes of Hilton Ruiz, Sonny Bravo, Mike Longo, and Barry Harris.Jimenez currently has two CD's recorded under his own label, CJMartinette Music. He has played extensively throughout the New York area, including dates with Tito Puente, Hilton Ruiz, and Ray Barreto.
