Free Poetry Event/Open Mic April 21 @7pm

Featuring Guest Performance Poet Mark Kelly Smith.

Mark is the creator and founder of the poetry slam movement. He is best known for bringing to the world wide poetry community a new style of poetic presentation that has spawned an important social literary movement. Mark is also the author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Slam Poetry, a jam-packed bible of “how-to” accompanied by 2 audio CDs with everything a “wanna-be” or seasoned performance poetry enthusiast would want to know about this engaging and passionate art.



There will be an Open Mic, at which teens and adults are welcome to participate. You may read or perform regular or slam style poetry. NO OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE PERMITTED.

Sign up for the open mic at 6:30 pm, performance begins at 7 pm.

This event is free and open to the public.

The event is hosted by local area poet Eric Zork Alan.
