Turhan von Brandon is a photographer and visual artist who lives in Yonkers. He began formal art studies at the age of eight at the Hudson River Museum in Yonkers, NY, studied art and photography while attending Howard University in Washington, DC. He continued the study of photography and print making in Würzburg, Germany, and then studied Commercial Photography at the New York Institute of Photography in New York City.
He says on his website about his work: "I try to create images that draw the viewer in, begins a dialog, or asks a visual question. You will either like, dislike, or question my images. The images that I create are only half the story. The viewer completes the story by what the viewer brings to the image."
He has exhibited art and/or photography at numerous local art galleries and exhibitions. He is also a member of a large number of professional photographer and artist associations, including the Westchester Photographic Society, the Westchester Professional Photographers Association, the International Association of Panoramic Photographers. and the Art Associations of New Rochelle, Mount Vernon, and Scarsdale.
