Westchester Arts Grants Y2008

Opportunities for Organizations & Artists

Arts Alive Project Grants support arts & cultural programs at the community level. This is the category in which first time applicants to Westchester Arts Council are generally most competitive. Artists must apply in tandem with a fiscal agent organization in order to be eligible for this grant. These grants provide awards up to $5,000.



Arts Alive Artist Grants provide direct support to artists to create original new work that incorporates the community as context. Projects must be initiated by the artist and reflection of the community must be integral to the project and to the creative process. Arts Alive Artist Grants provide at least two awards to artists, each for $2,500.



Deadline for all Grants: September 21, 2007

· Friday, August 10 at 2 pm at the Carver Center in Port Chester

· Wednesday, August 15 at 2 pm at the Arts Exchange, home of the Westchester Arts Council in White Plains

· Monday, August 20 at 5 pm at the Tarrytown Music Hall in Tarrytown

· Tuesday, August 28 at 5pm at the Arts Exchange, home of the Westchester Arts Council in White Plains
