FW: A study of teaching artists

They are not specifically looking for Westchester artists at this time, but if you'd like to get on their radar, and you are a teaching artist, make the connection!

The University of Chicago is conducting the first major study
of teaching artists. My name is Snigdha Sah and I am
assisting Nick Rabkin, the Principal Investigator for the
Teaching Artists Research Project (TARP).  The voices and
perspectives of teaching artists and the organizations they
work for are vital to the future of the arts and education,
and we are preparing to ask artists and program managers in
Providence and twelve other communities about their work,
their background and their needs.  May I urge you to send us
contact information for the artists who work for your
organization and the managers most knowledgeable about their work?

The goal of the TARP is to benefit the arts and education
communities.  Our work will suggest practical ideas for
advancing the field and spark serious discussion about how to
support teaching artists among employers, schools and school
systems, higher education, arts organizations, and funders.
You and your teaching artists can find more information about
TARP at:
http://teachingartists.uchicago.edu

Please help by sending your list via e-mail.  If possible,
please include name, e-mail, address, and phone, in an Excel
spreadsheet.  There is also a link to a secure online form on
our website, which can be filled in by your teaching artists.

Thanks very much.  We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

Snigdha Sah
