CALL FOR ART

Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center turns five years old in September 2009 and to help us celebrate, we invite you to participate in a community-wide creative project that will showcase your artistic skills while benefiting kids treated at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center.

The Project
Artists of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to create a 12"x 12" stretched canvas reflecting the theme, The Way We See It: What Maria Fareri Children's Hospital Means to Kids and Their Families. Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center is the advanced care pediatric facility for New York's Hudson Valley and Fairfield County, Connecticut. The hospital treats more than 20,000 kids each year, many of whom suffer from the region's most complex conditions, including cancer, heart problems, brain injuries, infectious diseases and traumatic injuries. Submitted canvases will be reviewed by a Maria Fareri Children's Hospital panel and chosen works will be brought together to form a mural that will be placed on prominent display in the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital lobby at Westchester Medical Center. Deadline for canvas submission is June 10, 2009.
