Moving Vietnam Memorial Will Stop In Hastings July 4-7.

The Moving Wall is a half-size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington DC.  It commemorate the
58,272 men and women who died in service to their country during the Vietnam conflict.
"The Moving Wall," a replica of the Washington, D.C., Vietnam Veterans Memorial, will make its only NYC area stop next week when it is exhibited at Zinsser Park in Hastings-on-Hudson from July 4 to July 7.

The Moving Wall has been touring the country for nearly 30 years. Originally devised by Vietnam veteran John Devitt after he attended the annual commemoration celebrated in Washington for Vietnam veterans, The wall is a half-size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. It was displayed for the first time in Tyler, Texas, in October 1984.

There are currently two editions of "The Moving Wall" that travel across the U.S, spending approximately 1 week at each site.  They tour from April through November.

The exhibit is making its only visit to the New York area this year. It will be open for viewing from dawn to dusk at Zinsser Park, which is located off North Broadway.
