The Tara Circle at Alder Manor

The Tara Circle is a not for profit organization, dedicated to establishing a cultural center to bring together all those interested in preserving, protecting and promoting Irish Heritage and Culture for present and future generations through education, athletics and cultural events.

The Tara Circle is based at Alder Manor, on North Broadway in the city of Yonkers,
in Westchester County, New York. Alder Manor, a palatial 1912 mansion was built by William Boyce Thompson "The Copper Magnate" who rose from obscurity in Alder Gulch, Montana to become one of the wealthiest men in America at the turn of the century. The building had been used as the main house for Sara Eaton College for a number of years, but went unused for many years also. Alder Manor has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Tara Circle currently holds a number of classes in Irish culture, including Irish dance, literature, and music. The property has also been used for numerous film, television, and fashion shoots.
