Untermeyer Performing Arts Council
The Untermyer Performing Arts Council (UPAC) provides a number of admission-free concerts throughout the year, including a summer concert series, Ragga muffin parade at Halloween, Christmas tree lighting and toy drive for Leake & Watts Children's home. Some of UPAC’s performances incorporate activities that raise the communities’ appreciation of the outdoors and offer education about local ecology. Committed to bringing a variety of cultural events to the community, UPAC hosts an annual Irish concert, a Cinco de Mayo: Soul of Mexico event and concerts that reflect the traditions of other cultures. UPAC also holds special holiday and charitable events for the public and offers an annual scholarship to local high school students excelling in the performing arts.
