Yonkers Pops Concerts June 17 & 24

The Yonkers Pops Band will present two free concerts on June 17 & 24 at Untermeyer Park, located at 945 North Broadway.

The concerts will start at 2 pm.

The 25 piece band is led by Milton Kabak a Yonkers musician, trombonist and composer who worked with Louis Prima during the 1940's.

The concert on June 17 will be titled "The Music You Love" and will feature very popular jazz standards, and two original pieces by Kabak.

The concert on June 24 will be titled "Your Ticket to Broadway" and will feature a number of Broadway standards.

Concert-goers should bring their own chairs and blankets. In case of rain, both concerts will be moved indoors to the Cola Community Center.

These concerts are presented by the Yonkers Departments of Parks and Recreation and Local 38-398, the American Federation of Musicians.
