More goings on at Phillipse Manor

There's a lot happening this summer at Phillipse Manor-- I got a recent update from Brittany Wheeler, the Museum Program Coordinator.

1) The Contest deadlines (for art and writing) have been extended. The new deadline is June 30. Visit their website listed below for the rules and updated entry form.

2) June 7th marks National Trails Day, and to celebrate, Philipse Manor Hall State Historic Site is hosting a free historic walk of downtown Yonkers! The tour will begin at 10 a.m., with registration at 9:45. They suggest bringing a camera, as well as good walking shoes, water and sunscreen.

3) Saturday June 21st they will hold an 18nth century cooking demonstration, including cooking up ham hocks, intestines, and pig ears and feet.

Check out their blog http://philipsemanorhall.blogspot.com/ for all of the pertinent details, contest forms, etc.
